Boat

Blue Spirit Galapagos is a 31.7 metres long, 6.7 meters wide professional motor liveaboard vessel with cruising speed at 12 knots per hour. It was originally designed and constructed in 2001 and redesigned in 2008, and it had a completely remodelation again in Spring 2019 to offer the highest level of security and comfort to our guests.

Blue Spirit Galapagos focus on the quality of high services, which include cruise safety, great itineraries, personalized attention, amzing meals, expert guides, sophisticated and reliable diving equipment. The crew members are all experienced professionals who are ready to assist guests with all their wishes, questions or requirements.

On the main deck, there is the beautiful lounge and restaurant areas will be the perfect setting for a delicious breakfast, lunch or dinner; informative sessions and photo presentations. There is also a well-stocked bar, library.

Gourmet style menus with Ecuadorian and International cuisine is served, snacks are provided through the day. For diving cruises, one soft drink during lunch and a glass of national brands of wine during dinner is included. Vegetarian, Gluten Free, No Seafood etc dietary preferences can be accommodated with advanced notice.

Blue Spirit Galapagos's upper deck is partially covered and has an outdoor salon with bar where guests can enjoy a relaxing evening after dives. And the top sundeck with chaise longues is for those who enjoy the sun kisses.

Blue Spirit Galapagos has a wide diving platform for the comfort of our divers and with all the equipment that diver need for the planned activites. After each dive, guest will receive hot towels at the spacious dive deck. On the dive deck, there are Al-Fresco hot showers, areas to clean dive equipments, tables where guest can clean UW cameras, recharging stations and individual gear bins etc.

For diving, there are two 17 feet Nautica Inflatable boats with 25 HP four stroke outboard motors for 12 passengers each one.

Blue Spirit Galapagos is also qualified for professional Naturalist Cruise in the Galapagos islands (non-diving, snorkeling & visiting & trekking ONLY), it offers 3 different Naturalist liveaboard trips from 5 Days/ 4 Nights and up to 8 Days/ 7 Nights.


Cabin

Blue Spirit Galapagos has 10 deluxe guest cabins, it can only accommodate up to 16 guests per trip according to the National Park Policy:

All cabins feature ensuite bathroom, A/C, mirror, cabinet and wardrobe, safety box, smoke alarm, and electricity outlets. Hairdryer is availabele upon request on each trip.

2 Deluxe Cabins (#7 & #8) :
Located on the upper deck, each cabin comes with one double bed, seaview windows.

2 Deluxe Cabins (#9 & #10) :
Located on the upper deck, each cabin comes with two single beds side by side, seaview windows.

2 Standard Cabins (#1 & 2) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with one double bed and one single bed in bunk style, portholes.

4 Standard Cabins (#3 - 6) :
Located on the lower deck, each cabin comes with two single bed side by side, portholes.


Diving

  • 3 dives per day + alternating additional sunset/night dives.

  • Usually 8D/7N diving trip will offer 18 - 20 dives in total.

  • 1 Check dive will be provided on the embarkation day.

  • Only 1 - 2 dives will be provided on the last diving day.

  • No dive will be provided on the day of disembarkation.

  • All diving will provide experienced guide to lead the dive.

  • Divers must have AOW level with 50 - 100 logged dives.

Galapagos Itinerary

Day 1 :
Flight to Baltra Airport / Galapagos + Santa Cruz Highlands vist
Morning fly to the Galapagos Islands, these flights will depart from Quito or Guayaquil. As soon as you arrive, you need to register yourself and pay the Galapagos Entrance fee, you just need to follow the lines. Our guides will be waiting to welcome you to our cruise and take care of your luggage. Your buses will transport you to the Itabaca Channel where you will take a ferry to arrive to Santa Cruz Islands and visit Santa Cruz Highlands.This day, the visit to a private ranch is included. On this area of the island, we will have the opportunity to see the well-known giant tortoises on their natural habitat. After the visit, you will go to the yacht, where the security briefings and additional details will be provided.

Day 2 :
Marchena : Dive at Punta Espejo + Punta Mejia
The itinerary includes Marchena, which is an exceptional spot for diving; not too many people visit this island. You could find many endemic species. Some large schools of Galapagos sharks, Hammerhead sharks, rays, fur sea lions, dolphins, sea turtles, Moray and Garden eels, cow- nosedrays and different types of fishes like blue-striped snappers, surgeonfish, scorpion fish, red- lipped batfish. The Island is also famous as it was embroiled in the ‘Floreana Mystery’. Here the dead bodies of Rudolf Lorenz one of the Baroness` consorts and the captain of the ship he was on, washed up mysteriously on the shore of the island.

Day 3 :
Wolf : Dive at La Banana / Punta Shark Bay + Islote la Ventana / El Derrumbe
This day we will have one of the most interesting and remote visits, we will be in Wolf and it is considered as a sanctuary for its abundant and diverse marine wildlife. It was named like that, as it was visited by Theodor Wolf, the German geologist. On this island, frigate birds, booby birds, marine iguanas, a large population of different fishes, sea lions, Hammerheads, Whale and Galapagos sharks, whales, dolphins, seal, rays and swallow-tailed gulls can be seen.

Day 4 :
Darwin : Dive at El Arco + El Arenal
Darwin Island, rich on the variety of its pelagic species in the depths of the Pacific Ocean and one of the smallest islands on the archipelago, is a spectacular area for diving as it is considered as one of the Seven Underwater Wonders of the World. It is located close to Wolf.

One of its attractions is the impressive stone arch formation, known as Darwin Arch. This is home to many endemic birds. You could see, sea lions, humpback whales, whale sharks, hammerheads, angelfish, dolphins, tuna, grunts, different fish schools, garden eels, moray eels, manta rays and many more....

Day 5 :
Wolf : Dive at Punta Shark Bay / El Derrumbe + Islote la Ventana / La Banana
This is the day to be in Wolf again, to observe more marine life, unique and incredible species. Wolf Island is a small tropical ecosystem with one of the most representative coral reefs of the archipelago, it is home of more than 8 species of corals and the greatest diversity of tropical fish. On its steep cliffs, there are the main nesting sites of red-footed boobies, blue footed boobies, Nazca (masked boobies), frigate birds, tropic birds, swallow-tailed gulls, the famous vampire finch which feeds on the blood of other birds and more.

Day 6 :
Fernandina (Cabo Douglas) + Isabela (Punta Vicente Roca)
Jan - May: We dive Marshall Cape, located on the Northeast side of Isabela Island, with it populations of giant mantarrays, mobulas, enormous schools of barracudas, Galapagos sharks, sea lions and the traditional host of Galapagos critters. Cabo Marshall has another important attraction, the flightless cormorants, which can be seen resting on the shores.

June - Dec: We dive Douglas Cape in the morning to observe the gracious marine iguanas feeding on algae, underwater. First, you can observe them catching sun to warm them up and later they will go into the sea to feed themselves for around 20 minutes, they return to the shores and warm up again.

It will be different to see then laying on the beach, even disgusting while spitting saltwater from their noses, but they look different, even elegant on the water. You can also observe penguins, Galapagos sharks and different schools of fishes.

Punta Vicente Roca, at the northwest coast of Isabela Island, where different species can be observed: turtles galore, Peruvian grunts, flat worms, sponges, sea lions, frogfish, octopus, nudibranches, Galapagos bullhead shark, mola molas (the largest bony fish in the sea), penguins, schools of black striped salemas, sea horses, dolphins, tunas; and nesting on the shores, Nazca and Blue-footed boobies, pelicans and other marine birds, all of them feeding at the same time.

Day 7 :
Santiago (Cousins Rock) + Bartolome land vist
We will dive at Cousins Rock, a small islet with platforms full of black coral where it will be possible to see lots of barracudas, sea lions, salema, yellowtail surgeonfish, hammerhead and white tipped reef sharks, manta and eagle rays, lots of nudibranchs and frogfish, sometimes sea horses, small hard corals, red sponges, and sea fans; sea lions are always there.

In the afternoon, we visit the iconic Galapagos site of Bartolome, the Pinnacle Rock, where the unique Galapagos Penguins nest. You will climb a 600-m trail to the 114-m summit to appreciate the wonder of the surrounding islands and islets. The Green Sea Turtle, sea lions, stingrays, White- tipped Sharks, colorful fish schools, Spotted Eagle Rays and Black-tipped Sharks can be seen.

Day 8 :
Check Out / Flight back to mainland Ecuador
After breakfast our Baltra Airport and assist you with your departure flight.
