Сафарийный корабль Shear Water был специально построен для экспедиций в подводный мир Багамских островов и теперь предлагает специализированные дайв-сафари с акулами и дельфинами. Длина корпуса корабля Shear Water - 20 метров, и он с легкостью доставит своих гостей к лучшим дайв-сайтам, поскольку может развивать скорость до 20 узлов.
ИНТЕРЬЕР
В центральной части корабля расположен салон-ресторан с обеденными столами и диванами. Здесь же находится развлекательная система с 36-дюймовым плоским экраном и DVD-плейром, а также музыкальный центр. Для фотографов имеются специальные полки для хранения оборудования и стол для его обслуживания. В носовой части Shear Water имеется открытая площадка для отдыха и принятия солнечных ванн.
КАЮТЫ
На борту размещается группа до 10 человек. Всего имеется 3 каюты с двумя односпальными койками, находящимися на разных уровнях, а в носу яхты четыре койки расположены на двух уровнях в форме буквы V и отделены занавесками. Два отдельных санузла с горячим душем являются общими для всех кают.
ДАЙВИНГ
Дайв-палуба располагается на корме. Для установки баллонов имеются специальные ячейки, забивка происходит здесь же, поэтому нет необходимости разбирать и заново собирать снаряжение после каждого погружения. Тут также расположен дополнительный шланг с пресной водой.

This spectacular location is unlike any other in the world. At Tiger Beach you will have one of the most unique underwater experiences ever.
Imagine yourself surrounded by lemon and tiger sharks as far as the eye can see amidst a gorgeous backdrop of crystal blue Bahamian water and powder white sand — all this in less than 20 feet of water.
- GREAT HAMMERHEAD & TIGER SHARK EXPEDITION:
These unique shark trips are being run exclusively for shark enthusiasts and photographers. The emphasis will be on getting quality in-water time and photo opportunities; space is therefore limited to a maximum of ten people. Its primary goal is to interact with great hammerhead sharks.
These spectacular animals are among the most impressive yet rarely observed of oceanic predators. In addition to great hammerheads, this expedition is also in search of the tiger shark. Although the tiger shark tends to be more cautious than the great hammerhead, tiger sharks from 6-18 feet in length are regularly seen.
- WILD DOLPHIN ENCOUNTERS:
This amazing itinerary focuses on snorkeling with Atlantic Spotted Dolphin and Bottlenose Dolphin in White Sand Ridge (Little Bahama Bank).
These encounters can last 5 minutes, or 5 hours; it is up to the dolphins. You are in their world, on their terms. These dolphins have never been captive or fed.
- WEST END, GRAND BAHAMA (LITTLE BAHAMA BANK):
Guests are constantly amazed at how pristine the walls and reefs are. This area is covered in lush corals and sponges and teaming with schools of jacks, snappers, grunts, countless tropical fish and it is one of the best places anywhere for “big animals” like sharks, turtles, rays, and wild dolphins.
The macro life is equally impressive with nudibranchs, sea slugs, crabs, lobsters and other crustaceans. Photographers will have an endless variety of subjects.
- SOUTHERN BAHAMAS ISLANDS:
This trip can encompass many different areas; Nassau , then run south to Crooked Island and Acklins Island where guests can also visit the lighthouses on Bird Rock and Castle Island .
Samana and Plana Cays with their spectacular wall diving. This itinerary may also include great places such as Mayaguana, Great Inagua, Diana Bank, Mira Por Vos, Highborne Cay, Allen’s Cay and many more!

Best time for diving
October - May, as there is a greater likelihood of great hammerheads, bull sharks. But tiger sharks, lemon sharks, nurse shars and Caribbean reef sharks are seen at Tiger Beach year-round. The visibility can be great at times with 60 meters clarity, current is usually mild tidal flow.
About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 18°C - 27°C, summer months are between 24°C - 33°C.
Sea : winter months are between 23°C - 26°C, summer months are between 28°C - 29°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
Divers are required to wear a full-length wetsuit (3mm for summer months, 5mm for winter months) as well as a hood, gloves, and dive socks (to cover ankles). Dive equipment must be dark in color, no white or yellow dive gear (Yellow second-stage hoses are permitted and are not a problem).
Diver requirement
Shark diving can be a potentially dangerous sport and so divers should be should be fully comfortable with their skills in the water. We recommend divers should have OW with min 30 dives as the minimum. You can find out more informations about diving in The Tiger Beach here : Tiger Beach
Embarkation / Disembarkation
The embarkation and disembarkation for most liveaboards are in Nassau, Bahamas. Guests need to fly to/from Nassau’s Lynden Pindling International Airport (NAS).
For liveaboards are departing from Florida, USA. Guests may fly to/from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI).

Vaccinations
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required from traveller arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. the same is required for traveller having transited more than 12 hours through the airport of a country with risk of yellow fever transmission. Further information can be found under the Visiting the Bahamas section of The Government of The Bahamas website.
Money Matters
The local currency is the Bahamian Dollar (BSD), but USD is also readily used. Cards are used throughout most of the country, especially in the tourist areas, although on some of the smaller outer islands only cash is accepted for purchases. ATMs are readily available in any major town.

Best time for diving
All year round, depends what you want to see. The great hammerhead sharks begin to congregate off of Bimini from January, and stay till March. Grouper spawning can be seen in late January and early February. Bull sharks and nurse sharks are more frequently seen from December to March. Tunas migrate in Bimini happens from March to May. And the summer months is best time for Atlantic spotted dolphins and bottlenose dolphins.
Bimini offers an great diversity of dive sites : coral reefs, walls, shipwrecks, blue holes, caverns... The visibility range from 25 - 30 meters, currents can be very strong at times.
About temperatures
Air : winter months are between 15°C - 25°C, summer months are between 25°C - 32°C.
Sea : winter months are between 24°C - 27°C, summer months are between 28°C - 30°C.
Wetsuit Recommendation
In the winter months, a 5 mm wetsuit is recommended. In summer months a skin or 3 mm shorty is recommended.
